Default Help...Flashing SES Light, No code

Engine has forged internals, with a mild cam, 207/220, .574/.574, stage 2 ported heads. The car sounds great, runs great, and just dyno-tuned with ls1-edit. Fuel pressure is great, and A/F is perfect, through-out the entire rpm range 0-6000. I doubt there is a misfire.

Since the install I will get a flashing SES light, if I maintain the rpms between 2000 - 2900. If I pass 3000rpms, the light immediately shuts off. If I drop down below 2000rpms, the light will shut off after about 20 seconds.

It does not throw a code.
The P0300 code has been shut off - yet the light still flashes!

Any ideas?

generaly a flashing SES light means an extremely rich condition that could damage catylitic converter, usually a p0300 would be set with it as well..not sure what else...weird that you have no codes.

I do have 02 simms in the rear.

I've heard a lose ground wire on one of the heads could cause something like this.

Any other thoughts?

Whenever I would get a flashing SES light, it would be because of misfires

A bad misfire usually causes it to flash. However if you have the codes turned off it is not going to set a code. I would pull the plugs and see if you find anything out of the ordinary.

Stop driving it and flat bed it to your mechanic.

So, even though the code is shut off, P0300, that doesnt prevent it from flashing the SES light? Hhmmm, okay, makes sense. I'll re-enable the code, and see if it then logs the (any) codes.

Also, it was just Dynotuned 2 days ago. The Fuel Pressure, A/F, and all other monitors are reading A+. Its not running rich, nor lean, through the entire RPM range.

I'll work with it some more, and see what comes of it all.
