Default Oil Pressure gauge for fuel pressure???

Ok, so I'm looking a gauges I'm seeing that 100 PSI electric fuel pressure are around $150, but you can get a 100 PSI electric oil pressure gauge for $50. Could a guy just use a electric oil pressure gauge and save $100? Any thoughts on this?

I am not sure what sensor they use for that, but I would be careful, autometer did have a lower end fuel pressure sensor, that the sending unit leaked on, so they discontinued that model, and now just have the expensive full sweep one.

I wouldn't do that. You're not really coming out ahead that much. I would use the dedicated guage for the dedicated purpose that it' s made for. If you're monitoring your fuel pressure, you don't need to half-*** yourself on that. If it all goes wrong you can have alot more than a $100 worth on engine repairs, than what you thought you were saving initially by cross using guage types.
