Default clutch probs, HELP!

This is my first post at this site, i like all the useful information you guys are shooting around. i have a T56 and have some problems with the shifting and am trying to determine if it is in the clutch/hydraulic side of things or if i have messed up the gearbox. It seems to happen more when the car warms up. when i shift into gears (whether upshifting or downshifting) there is a "growling" type noise with the gears with a weird feeling in the shifter. it is not a grinding sensation or noise though. When i shift slower and hold the clutch in longer it doesn't do it. I think that it might be the throwout bearing or pilot and also it could be the slave or master clutch cylinder. Usually a throwout bearing makes noise whenever you press the clutch in and hydrualic problems typically mean the pedal gets stuck to the floor. I need help, i get severly depressed when my car is messed up... any input or ideas would be appreciated.
