Default 3400 Yank and stock flexplate

Installing a 3400 Yank right now with the 6 mounting lugs. Do most people drill out the other 3 holes on the stock flexplate? Does that make the flexplate any weaker? Or is an aftermarket flexplate a must? If so, which brand has the six hole pattern?

Thanks

You can use just the three mounting holes but if your no2 or blown ya better think about a tci flex plate.
