Default Very ironic kill story

Sadly, this is probably the last kill story in my Trans Am because it just met reserve on eBay today...

Oh well, here goes...

You know how you always see opportunities when you are driving around in your beater and think, "dammit!!! Why couldn't I be in the T/A right now???" ... well, Thursday night I was coming home from work and I came up to a stop light with two lanes turning left. The roads intersect at about a 60 degree angle, so it is a very gentle left turn before it cuts down to one lane and then the road winds through a bunch of lakes and hills, so there is no passing. I am always on my way home from work, and I HATE getting stuck behind people because there is nothing I can do about it for about 20 miles except try to be patient. So, I get in the outside lane at the stop light and I usually try to get in front of the first car before the lane cuts down about 200 yards after the intersection. This is usually not difficult because most people lolly-gag and don't try to race a Cavalier. So on Thursday night, there was an F-350 in the left lane, and I came up next to him, and when we got the green light, I took off like I normally do - with intent to pass and merge in front of him. Well, "bad-*** truck boy" decides to floor it and make me work for it. I hear the big engine revving up, and I just dropped in behind him - wishing I was in the Trans Am.

Fast forward to last night... I drove my Trans Am to work because I took it to Livernois for a couple checks before work. So I'm on my way home and I come to the same intersection. HOLY **** IT'S THE SAME F-350!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, and sure enough I pulled up in the right lane, and he was the first car in the left lane.

He obviously didn't try too hard when I was in the Cavalier - he didn't have to - but this time he was anticipating the green light as soon as the opposite direction went yellow. I crept with him until we got the green and we both gunned it. Obviously, I blasted past him easily in the right lane, extremely content that I just got revenge on the guy who made me his bitch the night before.

A house. It isn't nearly as fast

I will probably trade my beater Cavalier in for a Cobalt SS before the end of the summer.

Houses appreciate in value, cars lose value. I'm 22 and live with my parents. This needs to stop.

I should have a Cobalt SS in the garage by end of summer... if an SRT-4 is a skittle, then is a Cobalt SS an M&M???

Because racing ruins your car... and because I've never raced it before either

You dont buy a trans am or any sports/muscle car to never gun it...there is no point in having the power if youre not going to enjoy it and its insulting to the damn car to not use it...go buy yourself a civic if you dont plan on using power youre trans am might as well sit in a garage

ive seen mini vans that are pretty fast for what they are and im still not impressed

good story velocity i always like to hear about stupid rednecks (and their trucks) getting put in their places theyre so obnoxious here in texas

He has not taken delivery yet. I have not received payment yet. I have not signed over title yet. Therefore...

it is not his car yet.

Oh, and BTW, if you want to get real technical about it, the race occurred on Friday night, and reserve was not met until Saturday, so pipe down.
