What are the threaded holes above the crankshaft for?

What are the threaded holes above the crankshaft for?

I am switching to an LS6 block. Right above the crankshaft are two threaded holes. The LS1 does not have threaded holes in this location.

Does anyone know what they are for?

Clarification:

This is looking from the front of the engine, right behind the timing chain, just above the crank shaft.

Do you happen to have a part number?

I went to the local GM dealership and they don't show a dampner or a tensioner for the timing chain.
