got a few ?s for you guys
ok i got a few ?s for you guys. i have a NX set up on my car now along with heads and cam. i run NA 95% of the time and play with the juice here and there. say i shift at 6500 N/A what whould be good to **** at with the nos? i was told if i shifted way ealer with the gas times whould be better than shifting like i do N/A this is a M6 car and i have window switch set to come on at 3400 and off at 6400. thanks

you shift like 100 less because your rpms would rise faster. Shifting way earlier really doesn't help. Yes you pick up more at 4000 rpm than 6000 because the air is more dense, I believe.

Good topic. I just ordered an NX kit myself and will be taking notes since I'm a nitrous newb. Silver, I have a 98 M6 Z28 so we have similar set ups.
What are you track times/dyno numbers? With 4.10s I see, which can be wicked, no traction issues?
I'm heads/cammed too and put 413 to the rear. That will change soon

Actually you need to shift right before the cam makes it's peak power, so it depends on your cam. You need to dyno the car, no dyno tricks, see where you are making peak power and shift a couple of hundred RPM before that so that you don't lose to much shift extension.

ok so i say my car peaks at 6100 and carrys it flat till 6600 before it drops off. do i need to shift it at 5800? or what?, thanks for the input more the better

Now I shift at 6600 and my traps are 118-high 119's. My ET also got better.

on my stock cam I have the window to go off at 5800, and then shifting on the stocker around 6200 rpm(cam), but on my tr225, I will most lilkely be in the 6400 range off and then shifting in like the 6700's. hope this is some help
