Axle repair bearings-Can't get my C-clip on??
Long story short, I put axle repair bearings in as there was some kind of bad wear on the axle itself. The repair bearings protrude out about 1/4" from the tube. The directions say they should do this.
The problem is that I cannot get the axles in far enough to get my c-clips on. I am pretty sure it is because of the bearings. The bearings are bottomed out and will not go in any further.
I know that I could not get the c-clip off without taking off the ABS sensor at the backing plate when I took it apart. The sensors are out now. The car has 4-channel abs/traction control.
Anyone with experience on this please let me know.
Thanks!!!!

Just had the same thing done to my car, but they were able to get everything back together.
Are the reluctors pressed on the axles all the way? Maybe those are preventing the axles from going in far enough.
