Tight lobe, Advance cam? Tuning issues?
Hey guys,
I got involved in the the Absolute Speed thing and I was told to get a comp cam 230/230 .598 lift on a 110 lsa with no advance ground in. I called comp and they said to install it 2 degrees advanced. I know as tight as the lobe is that I am going to have tuning issues. Do all of you agree to install at 2 avanced or do I install it straight up?
My motor is a stock cube LS1 with a set of TEA 5.3's. They flow 316 and 261.8 at .600. I have a fast 90/90 set up. Exhaust is a custom long tube set up...1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step into 3 inch all the way back, no cats. Motor is going into a 69 Camaro with a M6 and a 3.73 gear.
