Ordered a set of wheels, need advice, Pics inside...
I just ordered a set of wheels today in a staggard fitment. The sizes are as follows:
Front: 18x8.5
Rear: 18x9.5 w/35mm offset
Now I looked in the "Will this fit" sticky and it really didnt tell me much. With this offset, what size tire, width and sidewall included, would work best with is combo? Is the 35mm offset going to be ok? Any inputs you guys have are greatly appreciated.
Here is the wheel
And its going on a 99 SS.
Thanks guys!!

Just so everyone knows, goto Statuswheels.com and then call the 1-800 number to find the closest vendor. AWESOME wheels at a even better price.
But back to the subject at hand, any advice on the sizes of tires I should run and if the 35mm offset will be ok?

You'll be fine w/ a 35mm offset. You'll have the bulldog stance. Wheels will be right there on the edge of the wheel well lip. It'll look good. Nice choice too! So how much were they? I just blew 6K on wheels and tires this month so if it's that range then I'd agree you spent hella $$ for those.

So how much did they set you back?

Right at 870 for the rims in 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears.

8.5" ..... +38 to +45 mm .... 235, 245, 255
9.5" ..... +38 to +56 mm .... 255, 265, 275
9.5" ..... +38 to +56 mm .... 255, 265, 275
and for the rear - 275/35/18
Maybe someone else could chime in, but maybe you should run the stock C5 offsets because they run 18x8.5 and 18x.9.5's. I'm not sure of the stock sizes though.

I have a set of 17X9 inch wheels and tires that should be arriving the "brown truck" tomorrow (I hope) they are 35 mm offset too. Here is some pictures of the same wheels I just bought, in a 18X9.5" X 35mm offset, with a gunmetal center on a red t/a, look at how far they stick out to the fenders (Ilove that look) that's what yours are going to look like too. https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/305172-pictures-my-new-wheels.html

no I have been trying to find out myself. I know on UPS's website they show each box weighs 50lbs. not sure if that is exact or not, but if so that is wheel and tire both. From what I have read online, you can figure the tire to weigh as much or more than the wheel.
