Default Question: Not sure where to post

well i got an issue, nothing major just happens sometimes and wasnt sure where to post it. well...i got my 2000 SS M6 and when i punch in the clutch sometimes , ill be cruising at barely 1200 rpms and punch in the clutch and the car revs itself up to like 1600? i know its not normal, and im wondering if anyone knows why it does it. othertimes ill punch in the clutch at 2k and itll drop to 1600 and stay there til i get below 10 mph. but most of the time it does like it should. drops to about a grand to 1100 whenever i push the clutch in...any suggestions, or tell me what it might be?

If you have had your car tuned, then the running air tables are high, or the throttle cracker settings aren't proper.

If you haven't had your car tuned yet then most likely it is a vacuum leak.

Dont suppose its something simple, like you have cruise on when that happens do you???

Cruise does that for just a sec........before it turns itself off.

Have fun

It could just be because when you push the clutch pedal down you are removing ALL load from the engine, this could make the RPM raise because it no longer has to use power to turn any pieces in the tranny and cluth, ie gears and snycros
