Stall for F12 Cam?

Stall for F12 Cam? I am starting this thread for my brother who drives a 02' SS Automatic. He is going to be getting a F12 Cam, believe the specs are 230"/230" .595"/.595" 112 . Other than that he is replacing the oil pump, thermostat and timing chain. I was reading that the Vig3200 was a great stall but is actually underrated by 400-500 RPMS. I think he is either going to go with the VIG280/3200 or maybe a Yank. Would the TCI also be a nice choice? Any input would help the decision and I am sorry for talking about something that has been beaten to death, but I just wanted to hear your opinions.

The vig 3200 would be good.. A friend of mine runs it with a similar cam and it works nicely. But, they are pretty pricey. I personally have a TCI SSF3800 that I'm gonna use with my TSP 233/239 600/605 camshaft.. But, if hes gonna do alot of street driving and doesnt want to go really big then I would suggest the TCI SSF3500. Its a great converter and you can find them used for around $300-350 usually.. Then add some 3.42 gears or 3.73's..

Minimum stall speed of about 3500 rpm from yank, vig or TCI should be adequate. If money isn't too tight the Yank SS series is supposed to drive very tight around town. (SS3600 or SS4000) TCI SSF3500 or SSF4000 offers great bang for the buck though.

I ran almost that exact same cam in my H/C T/A. Mine is a comp .230/.230/.592. I was running a midwest 4200/2.5str that netted me 1.6 60's untill i blew the motor up. I have this convertor for sale right now if you are interested. It has approx. 25-30 passes on it for $400. I am getting rid of it and going to a TH350.
