Default getting a new clutch

i'm guessing i might be needing a new clutch. lately, it seems like i have less power under throttle, and i've noticed a smell when i get on it. smelled kinda like that cookout/lighter fluid/charcoal smell, (not sure if thats the clutch or not). I'm not into racing and wont ever take this car to the track, but i want a clutch that will hold up under the usual strain of the occasional stop light race/highway downshifting. I'm wanting to go pretty cheap. Should i just get a factory OEM clutch? Should i get a spec 1?

By the way, i have a 2001 SS, so i think i have the Z06 clutch. Is the Spec 1 better than the Z06?
