Default Building a Very Strong and Reliable FI Motor

I am in the process of getting a F1R supercharger kit. I would like to be able to max this out, but I need to know what parts are suggested for this task. I know Eagle is most likely not up to the job, but how much is too much by wasting money? I mean do I really need the $1800 Billet Rods and $3000 crankshaft? I want this motor to take a beating and not worry about doing teardowns once a year.

how much boost do you plan to run? and what are you horsepower goals? if you are looking for say 600-700rwhp Eagle would be fine as would the Callies rods, if you plan to push 1000rwhp then I would step up to Callies crank and Oliver rods. it all depends on your goals. it can get expensive very quickly.

I have a great 370 cu in FI shortblock I'm selling, It will handle whatever you throw at it. I have it in the for sale section, you can look it up by my user name. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks Dave

I'm thinking of the same sort of thing. Maybe around 600-700rwhp. I would rather over strengthen it than not build it strong enough.

Well, since I want to max out this supercharger (1300HP) I will take you suggestion on the rods and crank. Any preferences on the piston manufacturer and/or rings? Any opinions on Total Seal Max Rings? I am also thinking about intergrating a vacuum pump to help the rings seat better with the forced induction.

I asked the same question. Here is the link to the thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/336858-block.html

Hope it helps

This is what futral sent me when I was asking similar questions.

Forged 347 shortblock up to 20lbs boost:

-bore\stress hone\deburr\clean block
-race prep stock crank
-Manley sportsman rods
-Diamond dish pistons
-total seal rings
-Federal Mogul bearings
-ARP main studs
-balanced\blueprinted\assembled

For 20+ boost add **** for custom pistons and Hellfire rings.

**add ****** for block\crank core if needed.

-add for blower cam
under 20 lbs 236\243-114
0ver 20 lbs 239\250-114

For a FI setup get a set of AFR 205's for under 20 lbs boost and the 225's for 20+ boost.

AFR 205 with shortblock
AFR 225 with shortblock

Stuff t0 finish longblock.
-Melling lifters
-lifter trays
-ARP 12 pt head studs
-GM MLS head gaskets
-Rollmaster double chain
-FMS ported oil pump

ATI DISC intercooled race kit
I deleted pricing. If you want prices ask futral or send me a pm. They are VERY reasonable
