Default head unit question

how long have people had their aftermarket units? I have a Kenwood excelon(sp?) head unit with the MASK feature, and it only lasted about 2 years. WTF??

I have a 2005 Kenwood and everyone tells me it will break in a few years, lol. Actually, I had to exchange the first one because it never worked right to begin with. I guess Kenwood isn't known for their reliability. I like their 2005 models though. I have a Pioneer in my Mustang and it has been used almost daily for 3 years and has never messed up at all. In fact it plays CD's that skip in the Kenwood. My next deck will be a Pioneer if this Kenwood craps out, but right now it's a great deck.

The kenwood 7028 i just installed had one issue with it.. The right joystick button part would not work when push right.. Up/down, left worked just fine. Got that replaced and it works great (or as great as can be with stock speakers/amp).

I got a 10 yr old kenwood cd player that still works (actually for sale.. kdc-9000).
