Thinking Cams
I think ill get a cam this summer but im not sure on what. Ive been looking at cams in the range of the Hot Cam and the LS6. Out of these two what would you pick and why? And the reason for these cams is that I dont want to think about my springs often. Pre-Thankx for all replies

You need to get a torque converter first. 3000-3500 is a good (minimum) place to start. You should also do a transmission cooler, shift kit, trans temp gauge and subframe connectors. Drag radials will be a huge benefit as well, so you can actually stick the power to the ground. Search and read up in the auto trans section for more info.
As for the cam: How many miles do you typically drive the car in one year? You shouldn't have to worry about springs for at least 20k+ miles. Once you've done one spring change you should be able to knock it out in one afternoon. IMO one afternoon of work to install a couple hundred bucks worth of springs every 1-2 years is more than worth the effort for the extra power.
Between those two I'd get the hotcam or the ASA cam (~226/236 .525/.525 110) because I like lope.
ps: If you want to get rid of the rasp in your current exhaust install high flow cats and/or swap the resonator for something like a sweet thunder, borla XR1, moroso spiral flow or flo pro twister.

Thanks for your input. Sorry I didn't list this but I have a cooler and gauge already installed. I have a TCI Street Fighter waiting to be put in its sitting on my bed room floor now. And I drive my car around 8,000-10,000 miles a year. More feedback please.

FYI: I'll bet money you end up wanting to go bigger on the converter. 3000 should suffice if you don't go too big on the cam.
How do you like the sound of your exhaust the way it is now?
You should also look into the drag radials and subframe connectors. Be nice to the tranny! No WOT downshifts into second gear (highway rolls come to mind), no WOT into overdrive (shouldn't go that fast anyway....) and don't get on it above say 210*.
Have you read the cam guide? It's a sticky at the top of this forum.
I would definately go with an aggressive cam that requires stiff aftermarket springs and deal with the changes every 2-3 years. It's really not a big deal to do when you have the correct tool.
For a cam that matches a 3000 stall converter you can't go too big. Search/read and see what you think. The bread and butter cam is a TR224, or any single patter 224 for that matter. (IE 224/224 .563/.563 112 or 114) Something the size of the futral motorsports F13 might even be doable. Search around and read a lot to try and see what you like.

Your may be right on the verter, but I couldnt pass up the deal I got it here. I like the sound but would like to make it a little deeper with less rasp. What kind of subframe connectors would you go with weld in or bolt in what brand? So with a cam like the TR224 or a little bigger you can go a couple years on 918's? So far my trans hasnt been over 150* but thats with the stock converter. And yes ive read the cam guide just looking for feedback from people with these cams or that know about cams. Thank you again.

I would go weld in SFC. I have BMR, boxed, weld in. There are a lot of good brands so search in the suspension section, or just in general, and decide for yourself. I don't have any favorite brands in that category just yet.
Yes, with just about any cam you'd run you could go 20k+ miles with Comp 918's.
To make your exhaust sound better consider high flow cats, replacing the resonator with something else (borla XR1, flo pro twister, etc) or a different cat-back altogether.

I am not even sure. Do a search for "borlamouth", that's what people call it when you put the borla muffler into the loudmouth. Same for "dynomouth" and a dynomax bullet.
