I'd say the Saleen pulls out early, but the Vette goes by it on the big end.

You have a big weight advantage, Mean's Saleen is a convertible which adds quite a few pounds plus they're putting in a T-56 adding to the weight.

Regardless, the solid rear axle will give him a slight advantage out of the hole on a 1/4 track you should be able to make that up with weight and aerodynamics at the top.

Bench racing sucks. Just go run the mustang and see who wins.

On paper the vette does.

My sentiments to a "T".

Let us know how it turns out.

I'd put my money on the Vette, just for the fact that it's a hell of a lot lighter.

Only 1999-2004 Cobra. Back to Solid rear in '05+

Everything else (And earlier body style Cobras) are solid rear including Saleen, Roush, Steeda ...

Let's just race them puppies! Bragging rights for the winner and head hung low for the mustang, I mean the looser.

This puts a greater onus on which car would win.

I thought the Saleen SR and S351 Extremes had an option for a IRS?

The Vette. Lighter, better traction, much nicer looking car as well!

There's a big difference in weight and aerodynamics, the new Mustang is bigger and heavier than before, and the Vette is smaller and lighter.
