Default uh oh, broke the dang oil temp sender...

well i drilled and tapped the piece above the oil filter, went great. put the sender from auto meter in there and its pretty long and i guess i went a little deep with the tap and it snapped the end off. so im getting really sparatic readings on the temp gauge for the oil. does autometer have a shorter 1/8" sender? if anyone knows, or a way that i can fix this and get a new sender? i was worried about drilling and tapping and i mess the easy part up lol

hey what did you connect the "igniton wire" to on your autometer gauge, i just got the same one and that is one of the 3 wires i need to hook up, the others are ground, and the sender. is the "ignition wire" just a constant or switched 12 volt source?

i wired it to the fuse pannel to the gauge fuse, just put the wire end in then put the fuse in to push the wire in.

oh so it is just a positively charged wire then? I didnt know if it actually meant a wire having to do with the actual ignition system or what. thanks for the help.
