Default My impressions of the Ram clutch...

I had a Spec 3I and it lasted 5000 miles with NO races on street tires. Took it apart and the disk is flat wore out to where the rivits were eating in.

Installed a Ram Powergrip HD with their billet steel flywheel and all ARP hardware. When I first went to back out of the garage, I about broke my neck It just grabbed! Wasnt no slipping that one. Now I have 200 miles on it and its awesome! Takes off great, holds awesome and best of all NO CHATTER!... none, nada, nothing! I guess its a rare things, but its great.

Ive had a Cartek, Spec and now the Ram and so far, the Ram beats them all. Now lets just see how it lasts.

Thanks to TSP for the deal.

I have had the same set-up in for 1250miles and it holds great. No chatter either. Now I get third gear rubber were b4 with my center force DF I could not get a chirp in second. The best thing about this clutch is there is no break-in needed!!

I hope it doesn't happen to you but I had the same setup and it only lasted about 2k with only street driving. Flywheel, disc and pressure plate were trashed. BTW, the VDS that I put in after the Power grip lasted about the same. This one only trashed the metallic side of the disc and the pressure plate. Makes me think Ram had a problem with their metallic discs. Now I have the Spec stage 3. The pedal doesn't feel as good as the Ram. I guess we'll see. Good luck with your Ram.

I had the RAM setup for about 10K miles. Trashed the disc and flywheel. Now I have a ClutchMasters; my 4th clutch but best damn clutch I've ever had. 15K on it with no track time.

My 402/6130 setup had >50K miles and lord knows how many passes on slicks. I just recently had the disk and pressure plate rebuilt for $190. Hopefully I'll get another 50K miles out of it.
