Default Rain Triggers Alarm?!

My 99 camaro's factory alarm goes off during long rains or heavy rains. Even when there is no thunder. It never randomly goes off except for when it is raining. Is it possible the the heavy rain is setting off my shock sensor? I have the **** turned to the least sensitivity. Or is the moisture and humidity causing it to go off? I checked and it is not getting wet. Has any one else experienced this?

Thanks,
Lane

What about when you wash it? Does it go off then? If so I would lean towards the door/trunk switches shorting out with water.

It never does after I wash it. I check to make sure it isn't wet too.

After much thinking I've decided that these unusually hard texas rains must make some sort of echo or vibration in the fender well that translates to a hit on the car -setting off the shock sensor. I'm gonna have to find a better place to put it in the fender well.

THanks for the response tho!
