Ram Powergrip Driveabiliy
How much difference is the pedal feel in the RAM Powergrip set in respect to a Z-06 clutch? Is it a big difference small?
I am kinda leaning toward the RAM clutch and pressure plate after all the research I am doing, but I want to make sure I get a clutch that is gonna last. The TA is not going to be seeing heavy strip duty and I will NEVER put drag slicks on it.
In general do those hold up to pretty heavy abuse? Anybody who has had personal exerience with this brand please let me know how you felt/fell about yours good or bad.

Man I don't know! My computer at work said the server was busy. So I waited every so often and clicked submit thread until it loaded the page. I apologize to the moderators and anyone thought it was a big eyesore.

I have the HD w/billet fly that replaced a Z06.The pedal has a definate firmer feel to it and takes a few hundred miles to break in.It can be somewhat tiresome in traffic and when warmed up good has more of an "on-off" feel that makes stop sign take offs a little dicey even with 4.10's.It will take a good amount of HP and bang out the gearchanges,I love it.

I don't make a point of bashing things. But if someones asking to decide what to do I have to comment. In my opinion the drivability is very bad. It has alot harder pedal than the Z06. It was so bad I took it out after 1000 miles, (plenty of time to break it in). I replaced it with a Spec3 and I was much happier, much easier pedal but definitly harder than the Z06. To be fair the Powergrip did grab very good and had no chatter. It looked fine when I took it out and I sold it to a guy in Chicago, I think. If you don't mind the HARD pedal or drive in traffic you might like it.

i have the HD and i had the powergrip. def. a firmer pedal pressure but i like it and i had to take my powergrip out after 400 miles because it was slipping so bad. it had fractures in the pressure plate. now the HD is in and it is def. an on-off clutch. overall it is not to bad to drive and i get hardly any chatter. i like it so far and it has about 500 miles on it.

My Power Grip (non HD) is great. It chatters a bit, but I think that is due to the Al flywheel and stock gears. I am hoping the headers and 9" with 3.89 gears will help with that. I hope to take it to a prepared track after I get the rear in. Then I will know if it is slipping any .
