Default found automatic starter under dash

When i bought the car in 98 the lady told me she had the starter installed on the car but it never worked well since im taking everything apart i found the switch and box well i unhooked it all and it looks like they cut one stock wire does most starters have to cut one wire or more?

Well Most remote starter units don't cut any connections just taps alot of em.
Some of them have a starter cutout which would be the only cut wire.

The usual connects, Power, Ground, Switched, Ignition, ACC, Starter, Tach Park lights and brake.
