Default Beat a BPU Supra on the highway!

Man my car should be faster with all the **** I did to it! I am about to get a 402 or LS7 427 when they come out. I did have fun but a 7.7 at 90 sucks and dynoing 363/385 sucks also. Just a little pissed cause I heard a ping sound when they dynoed the car. Sounds like a bent push rod or a F'd rocker. Probly caused from all the detonation when I was running lean. But here is the main attaction of the night:

Denton 1/8 track: There was a pretty white BPU Supra there so we raced 3 times. He never got within a sec of my time. I ran 7.7 at 90 while his best was 8.7 at 86. Well he was a little ticked and there was a dyno there so we bet 20 bucks on whos would dyno higher. Well I lost 20 bucks cause he dynoed 378 to my 363 but my torq was 385 to his 377. I guess torque wins races.

Highway: Well on the way home we decided who was faster 60-150. We had 1 good run were we started even. I got about a 1/2 car to 100 then he passed me and got a 1 1/2 car lead by 130 but at 130 I start reeling him in. By 150 my nose was in front if his and I let off and I was still pulling him in overdrive until I lifted.

Fun night...

A pullied and chipped Cobra was there running 8.0 at 90. I did not get to run him but he was pretty cool.

BTW: I found out why I only dynoed 363. I had a chipped and cracked #7 piston. Over 20% leakdown on it! Well, I am having a 4K LS6 motor installed with some real nice CNC heads with bigger valves and a 228/232 cam. Should get me back to 400rwhp unlocked and uncorrected. Low 11's here I come again! Best on old motor was a 11.62 at 117 when it dynoed 384 uncorrected!

Since when do you get ET's/trap speeds on the highway?

I'm guessing you started off at the track and ended up on the highway.

Good kill?

Its called traction. Also, the guy who made this thread drives a corvette which is lighter than a supra or Fbody.

Good kill.

That must have been a stock or fu@#ed up Supra. I just looked at my old time slips from when I was BPU and I ran a 7.9@93mph on street tires.

This time is from a stock Supra, time slip reads:

60' 2.266
330 5.994
1/8 8.900
MPH 85.11
1000 11.396
1/4 13.494
MPH 107.87

That's at about 290rwhp.

Once again, good kill.

Not BPU ++++, I said BPU. The guy did not have a front mount intercooler and he was not running race gas. BTW: When I first had the heads installed and my tranny was going out I ran a:

60 ft - 1.69
1/8th - 7.42 - Banged the rev limiter 3 times from tranny slipping
mph - 94.08

I raced Fenskys BPU +++ Supra A4 and beat him from a dig and lost from a roll but he car was extremely fast for stock twins.
