re-set pcm!!!!????
Does disconnecting the battery reset the pcm/computer? My car is having trouble starting, see my post "starting problems". I do not want to take it to the dealer but this is starting to get very annoying and I need to figure out what is going on. Please help.

I have reset the pcm successfully about four times. I have 2000 WS6 with an LS1. I pull 2 fuses 1. Bat. 2. pcm pull both fuses and let set for 8hrs. then replace. Car will not run as well until computer finishes replacing all your previous settings. I fixed my problem this way. If you reset pcm this way you will not lose all of the other setting your car has in memory like clock and radio etc.....

^^^ above is the right method... but no need for 8 hours... more like 8 seconds
I pull the fuses w/the key in the run position
wait 10-15 seconds
cycle the key on off a few times
replace the fuses
PCM is reset (or rather the learned calibrations are reset)
Then when done do a quick idle relearn (I believe it's something like, start car and let idle in park for 30 seconds, then put Ebrake on and put in gear and let idle in gear for 30 seconds) for an auto at least...
