Lightbulb Instead of sweet thunder duals, for y-pipe folks?

Ok, so I know the sweets neck down internally so they're not all that great for replacing the bullet or resonator on a y-pipe catback like the Rumbler or Loudmouth. Great.

So, what about these Classic Chambered "Powersticks" someone posted a while back. The 3 inch version stays 3 inches all the way through. Ideally, it should flow just as good as the bullet or resonator it would be replacing.

TSP Stickler? SLP Powermouth? Here's a link to the product page. The 3020sb looks to be the best choice. The actual chamber length is 16 inches

That looks interesting....I wonder how it sounds. I've been trying to decide on a muffler replacement for the bullets in my duals. Want Sweet Thunder sound and unrestricted flow.

I didn't see pricing info though.

You can't buy them off the site, only through their distributors. I checked one of their sites, and they wanted like $65 for the 16 inch long version with the 3 inch in/out

I may get one anyway after my headers and ypipe are done. It'll sound better than the 18inch bullet I have now which still sounds pretty damn good.

If it's as good as it could potentially be, $65 isn't too bad. Borla XR-1's are more like $100, so it could be worse.

I'm sure it would, but I'm trying to make a big enough dent in my credit card balance so that I won't feel like a fiend when I buy my headers/y or SLP ram air hood. Having a car like this is like driving around a crack rock.

Thats a good way to put it. I talked to the guys at TSP recently and it seem they are going to start producing a rumbler catback with a sweetthunder in the I-pipe. Should sound real good. 65 bucks aint bad for the muffler. Have the existing bullet cut out and splice it in. I'm sure that brand probably sounds the same or close you might try stainlessworks as well.

I've looked at the Stainlessworks stuff, but they don't mention interior size.

Yeah, I'm not sure you might give them a call but know one ever seems to pick up. You normally have to leave them a message and then it takes a while for them to get back to you. Not sure what thats all about.

Eh, I'm going with one of these Powersticks eventually. I'll probably call that vendor this week and order one. Hopefully I can get it welded in place of the bullet for like 30 bucks.

I'll be sure and post pics.

If I can figure out how to record sounds with my digicam, I'll get those posted also. Damnit, now I'm all excited about changing my exhaust up for a third time.

I hope it doesn't get quiet on me, although I don't see how it possibly could.

I'm really considering a set of those 3" chambered mufflers for my next exhaust setup.

Those are what GMMG uses in their catback. Good ole fashion chambered mufflers. Sounds awesome.

Wonder how much one of these would cut down on the rasp of a loudmouth???
