Default 408 guys inside please.

I am looking at getting a 408 soon in my 98 T/A. I blew the stock motor up a few months ago. I was running 11.50's with my old setup and haven't seen much using the search. What I am looking for is high 10's N/A. Is this possible with the 408 or am I wasting my time? The perticular motor I am talking about getting is the cartec 408fe longblock. Streetability is not an issue this is a track only car. Any inputs you guys have would be great in helping me make a decision real soon. For more on the the rest of my cars setup, I will be running FAST 90/90, TH350, and a 9". Thanks

If you cant get into the 10's with a dedicated track car 408, then fire your engine builder. Honestly if you are doing a dedicated track car and cant run in the 9's NA then you have something wrong if your suspension can get you there

with an auto, you should be low 10's no problem. but then again, if you are all out drag, 11.50 sounds a little slow for a stock CID motor
