Default Kooks Y pipe....a couple of questions..

I already have Stainless Works headers on my car, but my buddy is now considering getting Kooks headers. Their website is a bit weird, so anyhow...I know that for the longest time they only had their Y pipe in aluminized steel, do they have a stainless version yet?

Also, the bigger concern is the floor banging issue. I had some issues with my Y pipe which I finally resolved with the Mufflex Y-pipe hanger thingy. Does anyone have problems with their Kooks Y pipe banging?

Thanks!

Manny

I've got Kooks 1 3/4 Stainless Headers to a 3" collector and the ORY.

I don't have any banging issues at all. The spot on the drivers side is actually flattened out for clearance. The only issue I had was a 3 minute fight trying to get the driver's side of the y-pipe on...that's about it.

Cool, sounds easy enough. I basically landed up doing the same thing to my Y pipe....flattened it just enough.

Is your Y aluminized steel or stainless?
