Default Its so freakin hard to find a decent LS1 TA for a decent price

Im currently looking at some Trans Ams/Camaros, and the TAs are outrageously priced. People are asking like 13k for a BASE MODEL TA with like 100k+ miles. Its crazy. Camaro prices are looking great tho

I didn't think mine was too bad... only 18720 miles on it for 15000, base model TA with the ram air, COMPLETELY stock too. Keep looking, you'll find the perfect deal.

It'll be worth the effort if it's what you want. Patience will eventually pay off. Then again, you can't go wrong with a Z either...

I saw a '99 in the classifieds section for like $8500 with around 90K miles on it. It was an A4, but everyone knows they are quicker

You need to insure the car on your current policy and get an insurance card. Then, when you buy the car, go to the DMV and get a temporary registration. They last 30 days. They won't give you a plate, it's just a piece of paper you put on the back window. You have to have proof of insurance for the car, though. I bought my '01 SS down in Indiana in June (I live in NY) and this is what I did. Flew down, completed paper work with seller, went to dmv, got the temp tag and drove the car back.

Oh, and as everyone has said, keep searching and the perfect car / deal will pop up. It took me over 5 months to find my car.

Not sure about wher you are from but here in IL. Once you but a car you have 72hrs to put the car in your name and get tags. You just need a bill of sale to show if you get pulled over. And as far as insurance goes. If you have full coverage on a vehicle in your name. You are covered on any car you drive. You could tech. jump in the car that you just bought and drive away in it. Check with your particular insurance company to confirm
