Exhaust systems?????
What is the best exhaust system to get with stock heads and exhaust? What will do the most performance and also be the cheapest? I was thinking about the Corsa or Slp loudmouth II system?
Thx

Good proformance at a cheap price: Pacesetter LTs, TSP ORY, Hooker catback. Price 800-1000, with gaskets, clamps, 02 sims, more if you get it tuned. *EDIT* My bad I didn't see the part about the stock exhaust just the stock heads Still voting for the hooker CB flows with the best of them, nice sound and a price around $300.

It does not sound like you are putting on headers or changing the y. So if you go with the loudmouth II then make sure you have cats on your car still. Otherwise, it will be loud and raspy. Have you considered Magnaflow? it is a really nice catback for the price. Search the forum as well, there is a lot of good info out there.

If you want just a catback here's what I've pieced together from others on the forum:
Hooker, Magnaflow, SLP Loudmouth (assuming stock mainfolds/Y-Pipe): Good Bang For The Buck
Top Of The Line: GMMG ($)
Try to get to some car shows/cruise nights in your area and listen to different ones.

I have searched and everyone just goes back and forth on everything. My friend has got the LM and that is way too loud. I like the way Corsa sounds but that is too much money. I heard Magnaflow sucks so I won't get it from everyone. I will definately look into Hookers.
By the way, I am keeping stock heads and y pipe.
Thx

After doing some research, it seems that everyone loves the GMMG system. The oval tips look awsome! Does anyone have them with stock heads and ypipe? If so, are they worth it.

In my experience: if you like something that costs more than you want to spend, then save up and buy it when you can afford it b/c eventually you will get it. It's not funny how many exhaust systems I have had on my car b/c I wanted something right then. For instance: I could of had some kooks headers and y with a gmmg for less than I have spent overall on my exhaust systems (just makes me want to kick myself in the a$$).
As everyone has said: go to ls1sounds.com and also go out and meet other people with LS1's to find out what system you really like, then purchase that system. Dont settle for something you dont really want.

I have heard Borla and LM in person and they are good but I heard that the MGGM are the best and there have been no complaints about them. Is it better performance than Borla or LM.

dynoed 13.8 rwhp increase with the corsa catback additon. same day same dyno, about 1 hour in between for exhaust installation. and its without a doubt the best looking system on the market andthe sound is great on my stock manifolds and y. im almost scared to put the lt's on.

Hooker's are nice if your going to run Header's and a ORY. But with stock Y-pipe and manifolds. A Cadillac is louder than the Hooker, way to quiet at idle IMO. I used to have a Corsa BTW and you see what I'm running now. Loudmouth. I love the way it sounds. Frigging LOUD! What's the saying? "Your not doing it right unless you **** a few people off"

Id say get the GMMG, its a great system but expensive. If you dont want to spend that much Id go for Magnaflow or SLP loudmouth. If your going to keep the stock manifolds and Y pipe the loudmouth will be very loud. Or just get a cutout that way you can have a quiet mode and a very loud mode. That always comes in handy when your coming home late and dont want to wake the neigbors up.
