what kind of gains expected, like to swap cam to a 114 lsa medium lift (~520?) and was wondering if blending in the short side radius (if there is one), reworking valve bosses, and 3-angle valve job mght be worth it. any noteworthy casting ridges to shave away??

but what is the expectations on just the head work???

Heads came stock with a three angle valve job. Leave the valves unless you want to move to bigger sized valves. As for where to remove material, I cant really say, but you might try these posts:
