Default How much RWHP can a stock tranny hold?

How much rwhp can a rebuilt stock 4l60 w/a shift kit handle? I ask because that is what mine is, it has 35k on the rebuild, still runs fine, (shift kit is a transgo) but what is safe to run rwhp wise before an upgrade, the convertor is stock, and probably staying that way for another year, or until gas starts to go down, i know it wont effect my gas milage much, but i just dont want to get one right now. I was told 400rwhp on a stock tranny, but i would like some other opinions, thanks

It depends on what was upgraded in the tranny when the rebuild/shift kit was done.

I posted a pretty exhaustive post on this over here:
