if i'm thinking of my #'s right, they're basicly the same. they also offer incandescents with colored coatings. that way you can still dim your lights. led's are primarily on/off, not much for dimming.
i spent about $100 to do mine with led's. probably going to redo it in the colored incandescents. it cost so much because i got the 5 tip led's.....notice i don't have any hot spots.

i didnt know u couldnt dim the led ones but now that u say that it makes sense.....i dont like that. i thinkill try and get some colored incadesents. id actually just like to get a ta cluster beings i like the font better anyways. the one thing i dont like about the reg bulbs is it seems as though they would be dimmer beings its the same light but with a colored tint on it. mine are too dark as is.

is there possibly a problem with the rheostat (i know what i'm trying to say, i just hope i used the right term) in your dimmer control? i'd check that out, if you're getting proper voltage through it, then get just 1 colored incandescent for a test run.
