Default timing table

If i were to copy the high octane timing table to the low octane timiming table, would the pcm stil pull timing if it detects knock? Also, is 25.5 degrees of advance high, low, or ok.

25.5 at wot. From 3500 all the way to 6200.

Sounds okay...as long as you aren't getting any knock, it should be fine.

Not to high jack the thraed but why is 98s/99 ls1 wot timing higher than 2000 and up??? Mines stock is 29 in the extreme load/rpm range. I know the 98 had a slightly more aggressive cam(bearly) But all else is relatively equal. Wher I see 22/24 the max in the same given area.

Different cam, as you said and the ls1 intake.

Yep...my car in particular doesn't like a whole lot of timing at all. I run about 20-25 degrees max at WOT.
