Default DOT 5 okay for clutch?

I was planning on doing the drill mod soon, I have bought dot 5 fluid to replace the dot 3 in the car. I've heard dot 5 eats up abs seals and is not recommended for abs brakes. Could I use it in my clutch master cylinder though? The original fluid is black, I'm guessing it boiled or something so I'm looking for something with a higher boiling point.

Dont use Dot 5. Dot 5 is silicone based and will mess up your brakes. F bodies take dot 3, so if you want to use something better use syntethic dot 3.

I know it will mess up the brakes, but I was wondering if it would mess up the clutch as well...I've already got synthetic dot 3 in the brake master cylinder, so I guess if my question isn't answered I could use synthetic dot 3 in the clutch too.

Default dot5

dont use dot 5. if you want to use anythiing better use dot 3 or dot 4 because they are both polyglycol based but dot 4 can handle hotter temps. dot 5 will ruin seals and cause leaks.

Ive used DOT 5 on the same clutch master cylinder for three years with no problems. I like it for better boiling point.

Been using Valvoline Synpower DOT V for a few years now in my clutch with no problems. Bottle says it can be used anywhere DOT 3 is called for. DOT V does have a higher boiling point than conventional DOT 3's. Never heard of it eating things up before?
