I've been seeing tons of what would I run with XXXX parts threads. Just trying to figure out if you guys would like me to try and round up a general e/t database sticky. This would be for typical 3600lb cars at sea level or within a few hundred ft. I would include with bolt-ons and different combos of them. I might venture into cammed cars, but that goes really extensive as there are so many different cams and heads/cam combos that it would almost be out of the question. Just gauging interest in a sticky. Of course this may be a stupid idea since no one reads sticky's anyhow

Well I'll wait till we get at least 10 people to vote yes, then it will be just a matter of free time that I have. I'm pretty busy with working 24 hours a week, taking 15 credit hours at school, and hanging out with my friends and girlfriend.

I don't know who the ******* moron was that voted no, nor can I conceive and posible reason why they would have done so besides to mess with the system, but it would be absolutly awesome. But, it would be so much work. I would hate to have to maintain that thing.

People will still post "Hey guys I just bought a 99 blah blah A4/M6 w/ this and this and this and this , what do you think it will run in the 1/4 ? What kind of HP will I make ?!" I personally think its a great idea but people wont use it

That's what I'm afraid of. I think it will stop the multiple uses. Such as someone saying it, then you point them to the sticky, then they won't have to ask again. Instead of them asking for every bolt-on they do.

I am that ******* moron. There are far too many variables to take into account for the database to be reliable. And i can't wait to see all the whiny little bitches that start complaining when they don't run what "the database said i would run."

I think it's a great idea. However, I know it would be hard to keep up and there are alot of factors that come into play. Plus I bet alot of people would rather get a "real" answer from people by making a thread than relying on a sticky. Atleast that's how it seems to me because there's always people who ask the same "stupid" questions that are answered in the stickies. But hey, I say go for it cus I'd definitely look into it as I would be doing mods.

I know what you mean. I have mixed opinions on it's effectiveness. One because people see the yellow sticky as DO NOT READ. Two it is going to be fairly inacurate due to the fact that some people can't drive. So I'm going to try and give a range of times, like 13.2-13.4. I'll try and keep it withing two tenths. I know people are going to complain when they don't pull the times. A lot will be due to driver error, and a lot will be due to DA. I'll see if I can find a DA calc. to help with that matter but as it's titled it will be a general et database. It's a long shot but to me it seems like its a possiblity. I guess we will see in due time. I think the title might help. If people want to know what they will run/make they will check it out if the title is like what will you run, or what power will i make. I don't know. Still a lot of work to due and thought to go into it. Please feel free to help me out with ideas. As far you (bluesix) you can check it out in the mod workshop and let me know what ya think.
