Default 68' RS Camaro 327

I got a 68' RS Camaro, all original 327 with a 2-Spd Powerglide transmission. My question is....what Carb/Manifold combo would you guys recommend? The car has Headers and 40 Series flowmasters and HEI Ignition. I would like to stick with Edelbrock, but give me some suggestions. What other power adders can I get? Thanks in advance. How bout suggestion's for some rear gears? Thanks.

It depends on what your intentions are with the combo, plus is it a 4-speed or automatic.
I'd think a Performer or Performer RPM intake and 600-650 holley double pumper would work nicely, but you could also substitute a Q-jet or 670 street avenger if this is going to be more of a cruiser.
If the trans is an automatic, I'd look into a higher stall convertor (again dependant on what your intentions are with the car, but anywhere from 2400-3000 stall would wake it up), and rear gears no higher than 3.73's.

Most 68 327 combos were rated at 275 hp from the factory, and these mods should help wake it up!

he said its a 2 speed powerglide tranny
if it was me if its an all original car id leave it that way
i know you said its got headers and slowmasters, if it was me if the rest of the car is original id take it back to that, w/ these kind of cars its alot harder to find a stocker then one thats modded and most people appreciate that.
just my .02 $
but if your determined to mod it use the edel performer intake, a 650 thunder series carb, look at a better cam something mild like a 268 comp cams grind, ditch the 2 speed for a 700r4 w/ a small stall mabey 24 - 2600. rear gears probly at least a 3.42.ditch the fan and get electrics, those are some pretty basic mods easy and relatively cheap. you will see a night and day difference w/ these few mods.
