Question WB Tuning And Damaged Cats

I've been running my car with COT turned off, and AIR system removed. After some time, I started throwing rear O2 sensor DTCs (which I turned off with Edit). I know I could have bad O2 sensors, but it seems logical that the cats burned up, especially with COT turned off, and looking at my Random Tech hi-flo cats, they have turned a black color from the silver they were originally. Assuming the cats did burn up, does this mean that if I put a WB sensor, in the rear O2 position, the cats will not alter the A/F reading?

Also, does anyone know if hi-flo cats alter WB readings less than regular stock cats?

I know there's not much, if any, factual data about my questions, but feel feel to offer your opinion, and of course, any facts are always welcome.

Thanks.

Someone on the Corvette forum said that if you have Hi-Flo cats a wideband O2 reading is accurate after the cats. Can anyone verify or dispute this?
