Check out www.efilive.com or www.hptuners.com. Both offer 98 support and will be available in handheld version very soon! My first choice would be EFI Live. Awsome package and kickass customer service that can't be beat. You might pay a little more upfront, but its WELL worth it in the end.

i have been beta testing the 98 support with efilive and everything is working great. there is a public beta that will tune 98's right now. http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_730.html

so i would not think twice about getting flashscan for a 98... best thing of all "you can tune as many 98/97 as you want!"

I've used my hptuners software on a few 98's...works very well & is slightly less expensive then efilive.

I've had great experience with HP Tuners, 98 support has been out for well over a year so there are no bugs. Have not lost a pcm either.

As for them coming out in handhelds...
