Part Throttle KR...hpl & excel files enclosed
Can someone take a look at this log file I took today...its an 01 SS completely stock but just has alot of PT knock retard...completely random from what i can see...just wondering your thoughts on it...runs 93 octane, stock plugs/wires, stock everything from what i can see.

This looks like "classical" tip-in ping, at least the
first instance (I stopped there). Opening throttle
makes unsteady MAP causing PCM to revert to a
pure speed-density airflow metering, a lean hole
develops, and you knock. I marked up the 'sheet
indicating the sequence of events.
This is the kind of thing I suppressed by fattening
the VE table wherever I found it. Although there
might be some more sophisticated ways of making
a "pump shot" now, at the time this was all I had to
work with.
