Targa Top Update pics...
Hey guys,
Sorry I have kept you waiting for so long, everything got hectic at the end of summer with moving, school, and what not. Anyway...I was able to get the chassis ready for prep, and paint work this weekend...Hopefully this coming weekend I will be able to paint it, and fab the top completely, and call this portion of the car done!! Here are some updated pics! I also was able to get the dash completely ready for paint as well with all the final glazing done. I will paint it next weekend as well, and make it's own thread...

Pretty easy to me, as I had thought it out for a while. I wouldn't recommend doin it without DD SFC's, as I had them, as well as a 6pt cage to strengthen the chassis completely. Once this is complete, and I see how much time is involved in it, I will more than likely be offering my services for hire....

Geez, I've seen the damage done to LS1s when they go to the track on a regular basis without an STB, so I sure hope that the mods you've done to the chasis really keeps it strong, with the power you're gonna have you'll definitely need it! Looks like a sweet project, though, keep up the good work.

Thanks guys! Luna if all the materials come in this week, and are waiting on me when I get home then hopefully I will have completed pics of the Targa Top, and Dash for you guys on next Monday. Yes it's a complete CUSTOM build bumper to bumper....replacing everything. I'm not too worried about flex, as I have a STB, DD SFC's, and a 6 pt cage. I will keep you guys posted, thanks for the compliments, I know I can come here for a smile...

very interesting. should be very cool once its done. i could never take a saw to my car like that. id guess wiht a 6pt it should retain a decent bit of strucural integrity.

I have fiberglassed my dash, and will Basecoat/Clearcoat the dash painted to match the car, and the rest of the interior, it will NOT have the fake grain look, or crack that the plastic panels, or vinyl on the dash does. it will be perfectly smooth like the exterior of the car....
