02 z06 question

Default 02 z06 question

do they have the butterfly things in the exhaust like the new 06's do?

If he's talking about the butterfly valve in the mufflers that open up after 3500 or so RPM's, then no. I've never heard of any previous Z06 having them. Thats why they were such a big deal when Chevy introduced them.

Ummmm no, they don't have the butterfly operated exhaust valve. They have Ti mufflers which are nice and light.

be careful with those butterflies. I saw a commercial on TV, and if they land on you it makes you fall asleep for 8 hours.

that would suck at the dragstrip

I was wondering this myself. A buddy of mine just got a 02 Z06 and was talking about it having them. I didn't know for sure so I just went along with it.

For wildbill, yes every corvette in the world has them, yes even the base models.

But for ls69ta, the first year they used them in the corvette was the new c6 zo6.
