Default Hard to believe

Intresting i found a 2001 Blue Trans AM WS6 Automatic with only 52,000 miles for $5,000 in the NY, statan island area..I dunno about you guys but this seems kind of fishy to me..only 5,000..it sounds like a really good deal and i might buy it but still it bothers me so cheap..it ran very nicely..pulled strong..no dents or anything which made it seem more weird..tryign to get a carfax done its on the request list but what do you guys think?

Also its on autotrader if u would like to take a look Here

The story of this 2001 PONTIAC FIREBIRD FORMULA/TRANS AM (2G2FV22G812133823) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX:

It has had no minor or moderate accidents reported to CARFAX.
It has had no DMV-reported total loss events, like a major accident, fire or flood.
It has not been reported by a DMV as having an Exceeds Mechanical Limits or Not Actual Mileage title.
It has a consistent mileage history with no indication of an odometer rollback. It was driven an average of 11,680 miles per year, which is lower than the industry average of 15,000. The last odometer reading, reported on 09/27/2005, was 54,296 miles.
It was not reported by a DMV as a Manufacturer Buyback or LEMON.
Its basic warranty has expired. You may want to discuss an extended warranty with your dealer.

Are you sure it's not a mis print? It checks out good on carfax. I think you'd be a fool not to grab it up for 5 g's....

I'd give that much even if it had a salvage title.

Maybe the guy needs money really bad and asap

how is he going to be selling it for a large profit, if he's only selling it for 5k?

52,000 miles for only 5 grand thats unheard of, my car was 6200 with 75k miles and a not actual mileage title ( and i think it was a decent deal ) Something isnt right unless this guy is just out of his mind

Doesn't this usually mean rental car? Even so if it's in great condition this is a steal. I mean, even if the motor was shot this would still be a good deal.

Chances are very high that it was a rental car.

When did you buy your car? that seems a tad high to me, but i guess it depends when you got it.

As for the thread i'd be all over that car, as long as the guy has the title an its in his name i'd buy it in a heartbeat, so what if he buys cars to sell them, if it was sold awhile ago then maybe he just doesnt want it anymore, or is in some financial trouble and trying to pay what he owes. If you dont get it i wll

If it's car from NY, then it's probably seen the snow & salt a little bit. They can have harse winters. And if that person drove it in that a couple yrs in a row, the underside is probably rusted and destroyed. Just a thought to think about

Its prolly a scam. I always see cheap fbodies on auto trader in NY. If you look at the numbers they are all area codes in africa or somethin. They are all the nigerian scams.
