Maximum Bore/Stroke
I was wondering if you guys could spare me the time and agony of researching by letting me know the maximum bore and stroke you could run on an LS1. I just need to know so I don't make a fool of myself by accidentally saying something way out of line.
Also, in cubic inches, what is the biggest size LS1 out there?
Is it possible to get the LS1 over 400 cid?
That should be about it. Thanks, Andy.

Well there is equipment to get it to a 4.5 inch stroke now. Kinda expensive but what the heck, everyone needs a 500 inch small block. Folks are speculating on 4.75inch strokes with the auxiliary block deck.
Lots of 445s around. How much money do you have and it probably can be done.

With a stock block you can only get 383. If you resleve the stock block then you can go to 455. If you want to go cheaper you can get an iron block and do 408 very easly. If you have a nice fat budget you can wait on the new 500ci block.
What do you want to do.

I was looking to get the stock LS1 block up to 426 cid if it was possible, as for money it's not too much an issue, as this will be a long slow build up, but cheaper is always better. 408 works for me as well, just looking to do something rare. This will be a twin turbo application but I also want a bigger displacement not only for power, but for something new. If any of you has a real strong argument for a certain type of set upI'll be happy to listen.
