6.0L iron block
i have a 6.0L iron block that i had bored and linehoned now when they linehoned the block i was told that i would need a linehone timing chain cause a bearing had been spun in it at one time the motor is now a 408 stroker will the line hone make a diff what is the good and bad of it if any?
ps.i plan to spray the **** out of this motor

You can buy an offset timing chain for SBC's, but that is only needed when the block is severely warped. The older blocks would have that happen more frequently with age and overheating. Technology has come a long way, and I've never heard of anyone having a problem with the Gen III motors. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a new chain with lots of slack in it.
