Default power steering pulley installer..

I am using the Performance Tool unit, and it seems that the larger thread size (the one that tha actual installer is threaded on to) is the part that is threading into the PS shaft, NOT the smaller thread on the end. IT also appears that only the first 2 threads are engauging before it bottoms out, because of the 3/4" or so of smaller thread. and this brings me to my problem, I ripped those 2 threads right off the installer trying to get the pulley on the last 1/8th inch. Does anybody know what thread size the PS shaft is?

thanks!

The smaller threads are 20tp and the larger threads are 16tp.

thanks for the reply, do you know the diameters? I assume this is american thread pitch?

I am guessing 1/4-20 on the smaller and 5/16-16 on the bigger then?

Yes standard not metric. I'll check the diameter for you.
