Default Is LT's, ORY, and Loudmouth too loud???

Going to install my Kooks Lt's, Kooks ORY, and Loudmouth-1 this weekend. I was just wondering what the sound was like? Many people have said that this setup is way too loud. I like loud cars, but have heard that this setup has an unbearable sound. Also how loud it is in the cabin? Thanks for your help..

ok, that all depends on what you consider loud!!

If you like a nascar sound and DB'd car, something that is going to get noticed while just cruising; them you picked the right combo. Stealth will probably will not be your friend. You will have people say that the rasp or metallic sound throught the exhaust..its almost like a high frequency mixed with the rumble...anyways, its unbearable.

I like it!!! IT just gives the car its persence like...WOW!! That camaro is CRAZY!!!!!

However, your car wont sound deep at all!! Its more of an "open-header" Pro Outlaw sound. If you seek a more old school, musclecar sound then get the SLP loudmouth muffler. I had the loudmouth 1 and i just had the reso replaced with the muffler....worked like a charm. The exhaust now has a more refined, YES, not as loud...... tone to it and definitely a deeper pitch. Which i like as well, but before it was like a different kind of beast. Its like the difference in personality if you compare it to Ryu and his evil-hado self, Evil-Ryu. Both badass but a different style of aggression.

You got a few options and its your ride so, do what you feel is best. Try it out, thats what i did. IF you dont like it..spend the extra $99.00 bucks and get the SLP muffler....trust me, get the SLP. PPL have tried the BORLA and others but this is the best one, IMO, and its stainless steel and flows really well. (however, if any muffler swap from a reso, you will feel a tighter throttle feel, not as loose as before.)

After that, you can always swap out the ORY and drop it some high flow cats. I have the dyantech cats and the are more liek small resonators that cats. You can see right through them and have one of the best flow rates on the market.

good luck!!!

It's gonna be ungodly loud and anyone within a 1 mile radius of you will be able to hear what you got.

The ones one LS1Sounds don't even come close to what it should sound like, but they should at least give you an idea.

I cant imagine how loud that must be...and I am in the same boat as you. I have a loudmouth and im about to throw headers and ORY on, so I guess Ill be going with that SLP muffler or the XR-1.

It sounds like someone trying to put out a forest fire with a diesel-powered chainsaw.

I *had* that very same combo -for ONE day. ONE! I love loud exhaust. It was so loud that even babying it down the street sounded like a redneck pickup truck with straight pipes running 4000rpm in 2nd gear. The next day I put a Hooker catback on the car. MUCH MUCH better! Deep... throaty... actually less drone at highway speed than the Loudmouth had on my stock LS1. Now I love driving my car around. But, to each their own... I'm sure some guys would like that sound.
