fuddle VS. TCI

fuddle VS. TCI im lookin into stalls and i stopped by my local performance shop and the guy told me that he'd get a TCI 3500 stall....well they are like 700 bucks, and i could get the same thing from fuddle for 400...is it worth the money to buy a tci over fuddle?

I've read a lot of good things about both. Fuddle seems to be the best bang for buck though. I personaly like yank because thats what proved to perform for me. For the price I think fuddle seems to be a very good choice. If I ever swap again I will be considering fuddle or staying with yank.

i got a few horror stories about TCI if u care to hear get a Fuddle I have one oh and do a search about fuddle on hear and i garranteeeeeee you will not find one 1 horror story, just my .02

on my little 3400/2.1 str fuddle ive pulled consistent dead low 1.6 60s and have 0 issues from it. john is a great guy to deal with, no hassle warrantty and the best bang for ur buck, and the best customer service i have ever had with a company in my life

I currently have a TCI and like it but I think I'm going to try and get a higher stall over winter and I'll probably go with a fuddle. I've been hearing good things about the fuddle stalls and john is a nice guy to talk to. The prices seem to be just as cheap or cheaper to boot.

My experience with TCI has been great. Great customer service and a great product. I have no experience with Fuddle converters but all the posts I have read about them are positive.

thanx for the replys guys, and very helpful info you have gave me...
how is crusin speeds with the fuddle....does the fuddle converter lock-up and drive good at like 60 MPH???...
im gonna be gettin the converter, tranny cooler, gears and nitrous put on all at the same time...it should be one hell of a setup...im goin with 3.73's BTW

this is a WEEKEND driven car so im not worryed TO much about how street drivable it is...with my mods what do u guys think i should go for the stall...i was thinkin prolly 3500 or something...i have full exhaust, and slp MAF and when the converter goes in ill have 3.73 gears and 100-150 shot of nitrous...and on down the road(soon) im gonna go with a cam...prolly either t-rex or Magic stick...and im leaning to a crane cams cam with the lift of .600/.600

fuddle makes an excellent product. i have a 4k stall/2.4 str. locks up fine, unlocks fine. the converter's performance itself is excellent. i have no experience with any other converters, but i don't see where they could excel over this fuddle converter.
if you are considering cams that large, go with AT LEAST 4,000 stall. i am going to restall this winter to 4400, as i am looking at large cams, also. in terms of streetability, this 4k is VERY tolerable. it is dead consistent in terms of part-throttle accel., etc. however, i do feel that stall speeds over 3,500 require a bit more attention with in-town driving, as lock-up on my 4k stall in OD occurs at ~36 mph, it drops from 3,300 to 1,300. unless i'm on the highway, i use D in an attempt to save my clutch.

I have a Fuddle performance 3000 2.0 on my cammed, procharged 02 Z28 and it has worked flawlessley with well over 600hp threw it. And the warranty is alot better than the TCI. TCI is 90 day if I remember correctly.
