Default Will a Trans Go shift kit aleviate a p1870 code?

Does anyone know if a Trans Go shift Kit would help a p1870 code?

My mods are in my sig a TCI ssf 3500 stall, transcooler and tune in regards to transmission work. Do you guys think that a Shift Kit would help?

Thank You

Sincerely

Robert

Translation, p1870. Code means converter is slipping. Converter is only 3 and a half months old.

That code sets when the converter stops locking (it only sets when the converter is commanded to lock up) meaning a loose converter won't set it. An inoperative converter clutch will.

As far as the TransGo kit fixing it, that depends on why its setting. If its setting because the valvebody is worn out, then yes, it will. If its setting because the solenoid is bad or the converter is bad, then that won't fix it.

Your right, I saw the 02 car, and was thinking of 1875.

Thanks. I hope that it is the valve body.
