Default Need help fast, horribly bad noise from trans or clutch.

I was coming down the road today and went WOT in 1st gear. It revved out unusually fast. I went to shift to second and the shifter went into gear, but there was a nasty grinding/clunking sound coming from the driveline. I pulled into a parking lot ad stopped the car.

Here is the confusing part: The shifter goes into gear normally with the clutch pedal pressed in. If I slowy release the clutch, the car moves forward, as well as when I press the gas slowly, until about 2000 RPM. At that point the ungodly noise comes back. It sounds like a grinding noise coming from the front of the trans possibly, which would lead me to believe it is the clutch, but the car moves and there is no problem putting the car in gear. The pedal does not feel any different, so I am stuck. What could this be?

Broke the clutch hub? Seen stock ones do that. They make bad noises as well. They do exactly what you describe.
