Default would removing the shim for spec clutch maybe help slipping?

if i take out my shim, could it possibly help out my slipping clutch? maybe help it last me for a little longer? i figure it would be a lot better than just replacing the clutch and could maybe help it last closer to summer when i have money.

i need to replace my ypipe and was going to do the master cyl since it is still the stock one as suggested. figured while i was under the car i woudl pull the shim out as well. let me know your thoughts on this please, thanks
